Our Story
In 2006, JP Checa was active in a variety of business, social, and professional organizations. As both a leader and a member, he grew frustrated with the online group management tools that were in place. The free tools never delivered the right mix of features and user experience and more robust solutions were costly, outdated, and difficult to use. JP and Matt Trush, a colleague at the time, saw this as an opportunity to build a better service for groups that provided power and simplicity at a low cost.
In 2007, Matt Trush joined JP full-time and brought his experience in designing web-based solutions and passion for building innovative products. Together with Tibi Ballai, an extraordinary developer and engineer, the three set out to build and launch a rich, Flex-based web application that would give groups the tools they need to stay productive and organized. In 2008, the team launched the first full version of Convos.
In 2008, Sandy Kane, an accomplished executive with over 40 years of experience in business and technology, joined the Convos team as CEO. Sandy's leadership gave Convos a renewed focus as a professional service for organizations and an enhanced, scalable business model was developed.
In 2009, the team released their most powerful version of Convos with features that focus on providing professional tools to organizations at an economical price. They are always looking to today's group leaders to learn how they can enhance Convos to help them run successful organizations.
